Saravia gets his chance as Valencia lose Thierry Correia to injury | OneFootball

Valencia suffered another defensive setback at Son Moix as Thierry Correia was forced off early, handing Renzo Saravia his opening.

AS reports that on 10 minutes Correia sat on the turf clutching his groin and could not continue, with Saravia brought on.

The right-back had signalled discomfort from the outset, prompting the staff to ready Renzo Saravia and Rubo Iranzo. He tried to carry on but lasted only a few minutes more. It is the third time this season he has been substituted because of injury.

Saravia arrived after the winter window had closed to cover Dimitri Foulquier’s long-term absence. He had been without a club since December and needed time to get up to speed before a debut.

A few weeks ago, Carlos Corberán lamented the lack of matches to give Saravia his first outing. Against Mallorca, his moment finally arrived.
