La Liga outfit Valencia have been dealt an untimely blow on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that key attacker Roman Yaremchuk is in line for an incoming spell on the sidelines.
Frontman Yaremchuk, for his part, set alarm bells ringing across the Valencia fanbase on Saturday.
As much came upon the Ukrainian being hooked from Los Che’s La Liga meeting with Mallorca inside the opening 20 minutes.
After going to ground clutching his hamstring, it quickly became clear that Yaremchuk was in no fit state to continue, replaced by Diego López as a result.
And, as alluded to above, an ensuing round of medical tests carried out on Monday have confirmed that the 28-year-old has indeed picked up an injury.
As per a statement across Valencia’s website and social media platforms:
‘Roman Yaremchuk has been diagnosed with an injury to the isquiotibial muscles of his left leg, suffered in the game against RCD Mallorca.
‘The plan is for the striker to undergo medical treatment, physiotherapy and readaptation at the Ciudad Deportiva.’
It is currently unclear how long Yaremchuk is expected to be sidelined for.
