Valencia face Teruel at the Ciudad Deportiva de Paterna at 18:00, a hastily arranged friendly after LaLiga’s opening round was postponed. The reshuffle has led head coach Carlos Corberán to add extra fixtures.

According to AS, a solar eclipse is expected to begin during the second half, with its peak at 20:33.

Teruel were initially due to play Valencia’s B team, but will instead take on the first team, the quickest solution identified by the staff. There will be no new signings involved, with talks ongoing over Arnau Martínez.

Luis Rioja, Foulquer, Diego López and Copete remain on individual recovery plans. Sadiq has completed part of training with the group and, while he will not play today, could be involved against Celta on Saturday 22 August.

Valencia have also lined up a second friendly tomorrow against Hércules. Corberán’s plan is to use two different XIs, giving significant minutes to B-team players.

The Mestalla club have turned to two Primera Federación sides to complete a pre-season featuring eight friendlies.
