Valencia have opened pre-season with Dani Raba and Baptiste Santamaría present. According to Superdeporte, Carlos Corberán does not plan to use them in 26/27. Both completed routine medicals at Hospital IMED in València on Friday with their futures still to be settled.

The club have told the pair they can leave this summer, as in January. The intention is to move them on to ease the club’s outgoing business.

On arrival at the hospital, Raba said he wants to stay at Valencia. He added that he feels very happy and eager for the new season.

Santamaría struck a similar note, saying he was happy to start pre-season.

Both are contracted until 30 June 2027 and chose to remain in January despite being out of Corberán’s plans. After the window shut, Raba played 16 minutes and Santamaría only 2. Whether that pattern repeats remains to be seen.
