Valencia are finalising the paperwork on Ryonosuke Sato’s move. According to À Punt, the club will pay four million euros in five instalments, a structure that has eased negotiations.

An agreement between Valencia, the player and FC Tokyo is in place, with only the signature pending. In principle, the move is not at risk.

Valencia will acquire 85 percent of Sato’s economic rights, with FC Tokyo retaining the remaining 15 percent.

Sato would be first Japanese footballer to feature for Valencia’s first team.

The club intend to announce the signing once all formalities are completed and he passes a medical.
