Justin de Haas is set to play for Valencia next season, if nothing unusual happens, with an agreement in place for 2026-27.

Tribuna Deportiva reports that the club moved during this window to finalise an agreement for the Famalicao centre-back for next term.

De Haas has been on Ron Gourlay’s agenda since Mouctar Diakhaby was injured. With his contract ending on 30 June, a January move was discussed, but Valencia instead secured him for next season after altering their defensive profile, already covered by the arrival of Unai Núñez.

The club have kept their commitment to reinforce a position that will be short next summer, with Cömert out of contract and Unai Núñez due back at Celta.

The Dutch defender, who turns 26 on the first of February, will arrive on a free. The move was proposed by Hans Gillhaus, Valencia’s new head of European scouting, a former PSV Eindhoven scout during two spells, most recently from 2021, who has tracked his progress closely.
