Valencia Women set for play-off semi-final against Alba after 4-2 win | OneFootball

Valencia CF Femenino beat Sección Esportiva AEM 4-2 on Saturday, closing the regular season with goals from Marcano, M. Martí, Gema and Monente. They missed out on automatic promotion to Primera División but will have another chance in the play-offs.

The semi-final assignment comes as they bid to return to the top tier after last season’s poor club management led to their first ever relegation. According to Superdeporte, they will face CD Alba Fútbol Femenino.

Alba secured their place with a hard-fought 2-2 draw against FC Barcelona’s B team, a result celebrated wildly on the Albacete pitch.

Olga San Nicolás, who came through Valencia’s academy and reached the first team, features for the La Mancha side.

The first leg is scheduled for nine or 10 May, with the return on 16 or 17 May, dates and times to be confirmed. Valencia have put tickets on sale for the Antonio Puchades fixture at five euros.
