Valentin Carboni has suffered a fresh serious knee injury while on loan at Racing Club in Argentina from Inter Milan, leaving him facing a lengthy spell out.
According to TycSports, the 20-year-old has a complete anterior cruciate ligament rupture and a partial collateral ligament tear in his right knee. He will undergo surgery in Argentina and is expected to miss at least eight months.

It comes one and a half years after a major injury to his left knee during his loan at Marseille from Inter.
Carboni was hurt in training. He has featured only 206 minutes across five appearances for Racing Club.
The Argentina international has three caps. He spent last season on loan at Genoa, making 15 appearances and scoring one goal.
