Valverde has been handed a timely boost for key meetings with Rayo and Real Sociedad. According to El Correo, Mikel Jauregizar and Álex Berenguer trained with the group on Wednesday and are available.

Jauregizar was injured on matchday 24 against Oviedo in the move before scoring. Fears of a serious problem eased, and the midfielder has missed only one game.

Berenguer had been managing traumatic arthritis in a toe but is now training normally and ready to return. He has not featured since one February in La Liga against Real Sociedad at San Mamés.

The Extremaduran coach had expressed confidence that playing once a week would help him recover key players.

The only absentees at present are Prados, Maroan and Nico Williams, who remains sidelined for at least a couple of weeks.
