Arne Slot is reportedly going to add Giovanni van Bronckhorst to his Liverpool coaching staff, sources have confirmed to VI.
This provides Liverpool with something of a further winning formula, as the last two Eredivisie-winning Feyenoord bosses take to the same dugout at Anfield.
With this latest revelation, Van Bronckhorst will return to football for the first time since the end of 2024, when his tenure as head coach at Besiktas ended.
Van Bronckhorst briefly played in England during his career, when he was under contract with Arsenal between 2001 and 2003. However, with this new partnership, those days seem firmly in the past as Slot refreshes his technical staff after the departure of John Heitinga, who became Ajax head coach following Francesco Farioli’s departure.
Liverpool will defend the Premier League title next season and begin the 2025-26 campaign on August the 2nd against FA Cup winners Crystal Palace in the Community Shield.
