Vancouver Whitecaps FC have unveiled their 2026 primary kit, branded the “Coastal Jersey,” a design rooted in the geography and cultural identity of British Columbia.

The launch reinforces the club’s long-standing “Where Ocean Meets Mountain” identity, translating that slogan into a visual concept that reflects both the Pacific coastline and the North Shore mountain range.

Rather than relying on minimalist design, the Whitecaps opted for a textured aesthetic that mirrors the province’s natural contrasts.

The 2026 Coastal Jersey introduces several distinct visual features:

  1. Gradient blend: A transition from deep navy to glacier blue, intended to echo the meeting point between ocean and shoreline.
  2. Topographic detailing: Subtle geometric mapping embedded into the fabric, referencing regional elevation patterns.
  3. “Roots” jock tag: A hip emblem symbolizing Vancouver’s multicultural foundation and shared civic identity.

During the launch event at Waterfront Park, the club framed the jersey as an expression of place rather than a seasonal redesign.

Performance and sustainability

Beyond aesthetics, the 2026 kit incorporates updated moisture-management fabric tailored to Vancouver’s variable climate.

The jersey is manufactured using 100% recycled materials, aligning with both MLS-wide sustainability initiatives and the city’s broader environmental positioning.

The Coastal Jersey is available immediately through official Whitecaps retail channels, including in-stadium and online stores. A limited “Match Day” edition featuring a commemorative 2026 patch will be offered at BC Place during the home opener.
