Juventus Women’s time in the United States of America is continuing, and all eyes are on The Women’s Cup, with the Bianconere having reached the final after their win over Colo-Colo.
With the competition ongoing, new forward Amalie Vangsgaard shared her thoughts on her own, and the team’s, involvement in Louisville.
“At this point in time, starting out at a new club, this type of tournament gives you a good chance to get closer to the team and develop as a player as well, which is something that every game gives you the chance to do,” Vangsgaard said, in a press event organised by The Women's Cup.
“The USA is one of the leaders in the world for women’s football so of course it’s nice to be here and try things out, to see how it feels to be here and see their style of play. I think it’s a really good thing for women’s football to have a tournament like this here and to bring teams together.”
“I’m pretty new here and we’ve only worked together for a couple of weeks, but I’d say we’re a pretty aggressive team that wants to score goals and create chances. It’s a fun way of playing for me.”
“I think it would mean a lot for the team and to show we’ve had a good pre-season, and that the things we’re working on are going well.”
