Gençlerbirliği and Kayserispor drew 0-0 on Sunday at Eryaman Stadyumu, a result that keeps the hosts 12th and leaves Kayserispor 17th in the Süper Lig relegation places.

The visitors thought they had broken through in the 58th minute when Denis Makarov finished, but the goal was ruled out after a VAR review.

Early on, Ricardo Velho kept Gençlerbirliği level with sharp stops to deny Miguel Cardoso. At the other end, Bilal Bayazit foiled efforts from Metehan Mimaroğlu and Cihan Çanak before the interval.

After the restart, Samed Onur's delivery fashioned headed chances for Adama Traoré, who twice nodded off target as the hosts pushed for a breakthrough.

The first half ended after a brief injury stoppage for Youssef Ait Bennasser, but the game remained finely balanced to the close.

Gençlerbirliği finished with 54.2% possession and three efforts on target from 10 attempts. Kayserispor also produced 10 attempts, testing Velho twice and forcing six corners.
