Vasco, Admar Lopes and Felipe charged by STJD after Vitória fracas | OneFootball

Vasco’s 1-0 win over Vitória in Wednesday’s Copa do Brasil quarter-final first leg has led to serious disciplinary charges filed by the Superior Tribunal de Justiça Desportiva, based on referee Matheus Delgado Candançan’s match report.

According to PaponaColina, the tribunal has charged Club de Regatas Vasco da Gama, midfielder Cauan Barros, technical director Felipe Loureiro, football director Admar Lopes, performance coordinator Daniel Felix and goalkeeping coach Nelcírio Franchin.

Vasco face Article 213, items I and III of the CBJD, for failing to prevent disorder and for objects thrown towards the officials at half-time and on the restart. Barros is cited under Article 78 for a straight red in the first half. Felipe, Admar and Daniel are charged under Article 258, paragraph 2, II for conduct contrary to discipline and for disrespecting the refereeing team. Franchin also faces Article 258 and the grave Article 254-A, paragraph 3 for attempted physical aggression against match officials.

The report states the turmoil began on the way to the dressing rooms at the interval, when Daniel Felix approached the officials in a rude and offensive manner, accompanied by club security and by Felipe, Admar and Nelcírio, who tried to breach a police cordon.

It records that Nelcírio Franchin attempted to punch the fourth official, being restrained by police, and that Admar Lopes and Felipe Loureiro made further heated complaints in the São Januário corridors after full-time. The tribunal will set a hearing date in the coming days.
