Vasco have moved towards signing Brenner after talks with Udinese accelerated, with the sides now close to agreement. According to Globo.com, the club and the player’s representatives are confident a definitive deal will be reached in the coming hours.

Vasco initially proposed three million euros plus one million in bonuses, paid in instalments over three years. Udinese rejected that structure, viewing the sum as low against their original asking price of six million euros.

The Brazilian club then raised the offer to five million euros, still spread in instalments through 2028. The Italian side accepted that approach because it aligned more closely with their valuation.

Recent talks have focused on how the fee will be settled for a permanent transfer. Vasco prefer payments across three years, while Udinese have pushed for full payment within one year. The agreement is expected to land at a compromise.

Brenner’s preference has helped drive progress. He has told Vasco and Udinese officials he wants to play for the Rio club. The 25-year-old worked under Fernando Diniz at Fluminense and São Paulo, and the coach’s presence is a key factor in his desire to return to Brazil.
