Vasco confirm Rayan contract extension until 2028

Vasco have confirmed forward Rayan has signed a new contract running to 2028, alongside a significant salary increase.

The club said in a post that he had agreed the extension. The video on social media featured Barreira do Vasco and São Januário, and framed his story as a new chapter.

The previous deal ran until the end of 2026, and talks had been ongoing since July.

Son of former defender Valkmar, Rayan joined the club aged six. Now 19, he has become one of the side’s leading figures this season, particularly after Fernando Diniz arrived. He scored 20 goals in the year, 17 under Diniz.

The renewal followed the victory over Fluminense, reinforcing the board’s faith in the forward’s potential. He is emerging as one of the club’s most highly rated prospects in recent years.
