“Vasco need you”: Casimiro urges Richarlison, fans flood socials

Vasco fans took over social media this Monday (7) with a massive campaign calling for the signing of striker Richarlison, who has been losing space at Tottenham in England. The campaign, using the hashtag #RicharlisonAtVasco, reached huge proportions among Vasco supporters, who dream of bringing back the 29-year-old player, a self-declared lifelong fan of the Rio club.

The movement gained even more momentum with an emotional appeal made by influencer Casimiro Miguel during a CazéTV broadcast. Looking straight into the camera, the host called on the No. 9 to return to Brazil and rediscover his happiness on the pitch:

“Richarlison, let me tell you something: you’re Vascão. Vascão needs you, but you need Vasco too. You need to get your joy back, get your happiness back, you need to return to the Brazil national team. The Cross of Malta on the chest is waiting for you. Vasco needs goals, and you’re going to score them.”

Path back to the national team and a message to England

In Casimiro’s view, the striker’s immediate arrival at São Januário would be the perfect fuel to put the player back on the radar of the Brazil national team coach: “If you arrive now, a call-up is just around the corner. Suddenly you start scoring and you’re already called up.”

The influencer also turned up the heat on the Spurs board over the way the Brazilian has been treated in European football:

“Tottenham guys, here’s the deal: let the man go! You’re messing with him, you didn’t register him for the competition. If you don’t want him, give him to me! There are people who do. If you keep mistreating Pombo, I’m calling Luisa Mell. Richarlison, I want you.”
