Record reports that Vasco da Gama had a €1.5m, roughly R$9.5m, offer for Moreirense right-back Dinis Pinto rejected.

Moreirense viewed the figure as too low for a leading asset. Pinto, 25, is an undisputed starter with 6 assists in 17 games in 2025/26. He is regarded as a key figure under head coach Vasco Botelho da Costa, which complicates an exit during European competitions.

Vasco see the Portuguese defender as a strong fit for Fernando Diniz’s side, valuing his one-v-one ability in both phases, his regular support of attacks and the quality of his crossing, reflected in his assists.

Despite the initial refusal, the pursuit is not over. With the Brazilian window open until March, the club are weighing an improved bid.

Their search for a right-back has also included Wagner Pina of Trabzonspor. The role is currently filled by Paulo Henrique and Puma Rodríguez.
