Vasco have begun 2026 by reshaping the squad after finishing runners-up in the Copa do Brasil. The board targeted weak areas and trimmed the wage bill.

According to PaponaColina, the club combined permanent signings, loans and strategic renewals. Here are the key arrivals, exits and negotiations.

Uruguayan centre-back Alan Saldivia, 23, signs a three-year deal with an option. Johan Rojas joins on loan from Monterrey until the end of 2026, with an option to buy. Brenner arrives from Udinese for 5 million euros, contracted to 2029. Colombian forward Marino Hinestroza signs a four-year deal, around 5 million dollars for 80 percent from Atlético Nacional.

Andrés Gómez is bought from Rennes for 4.5 million euros, on a deal to January 2031 with an obligation to extend to June. Jair renews to the end of 2026 with an option, and Puma Rodríguez to 2027 with an option. Carlos Cuesta’s loan from Galatasaray of Türkiye runs to the end of 2026, with a 5.75 million euros purchase option. Guilherme Estrella’s two-year renewal is close, and a loan is being considered.

Pablo Vegetti leaves for Cerro Porteño on a contract to December 2029. Paulinho signs for Internacional as a free agent. Leandrinho is sold to Al Sharjah, with Vasco retaining 50 percent of his rights.

Maxime Domínguez joins Cracovia, Jean David’s contract is terminated, and Sforza is loaned to Talleres. Lucas Oliveira moves to Mirassol until the end of 2026, and Maicon signs permanently for Coritiba.

Talks are advanced for Rayan to join Bournemouth for 35 million euros, about 24 million to Vasco, with documents being exchanged and the payment model under discussion. Vasco are targeting left-back Cuiabano, owned by Nottingham Forest, after his loan at Botafogo. Negotiations for David with Vitória have ended. Lucas Piton has overseas interest and Paulo Henrique is monitored by clubs in Europe and Arabia.
