VfB Stuttgart are in negotiations with Hull City over Josha Vagnoman after the English club revived their interest in the right-back. According to Sky Sports, talks are ongoing, with suggestions an agreement may already be in place. Hull saw a July move rejected.
The stance in Stuttgart has shifted as the summer window enters its final days.
Vagnoman was among the players seen as possible departures as Sebastian Hoeneß looked to trim a crowded squad. Nikolas Nartey’s emergence at right-back in pre-season intensified competition for minutes on that flank.
An injury to Nartey then led to Vagnoman featuring in Stuttgart’s Bundesliga opener against Bayern Munich. He scored in the 57th minute, but a late own goal contributed decisively to Bayern’s eventual victory.
Hull’s renewed push offers Stuttgart a chance to streamline their defence before the deadline. Vagnoman joined from Hamburger SV in 2022 and has built up notable Bundesliga experience with VfB.
