VfB Stuttgart 'submit first offer' for Hoffenheim midfielder Grischa Prömel

According to Sky Germany, VfB Stuttgart have submitted their first offer for Hoffenheim midfielder Grischa Prömel, with the proposal described as lucrative.

The 31-year-old is out of contract in the summer. Several clubs are pursuing him on a free, while Hoffenheim are attempting to extend his deal.

Stuttgart view Prömel as a leader who can contribute goals from midfield, but have set a financial limit on their pursuit.

A move could be aided by the prospect of what may be Prömel’s last chance to secure a strong contract and represent his hometown team.

A decision on his future is expected by March. If he joins at Mercedesstraße, he could be considered an upgrade on Atakan Karazor and provide an alternative to Angelo Stiller and Chema Andres.
