If we were suffering from any sort of fatigue after our European excursions, then it didn’t show at Fir Park as we were in total control of the game, apart from maybe a shaky first 10 minutes, but after taking the lead through a well taken Luke McCowan strike we didn’t look in any danger of losing the match.

Celtic a stronger and efficient unit this season

Motherwell didn’t look particularly threatening, and when skipper for the day Alistair Johnston headed in the second, the three points were safe and secure. Adam Idah further increased our lead with three minutes to go, and gave the game a scoreline our dominance deserved.

This result further illustrates how far we’ve come under Brendan Rodgers since his appointment second time around last year. We could have possibly dropped points in similar circumstances this time last year, but we’re a much more stronger and efficient unit this season.

If Kris Boyd can call Willie Collum, so can Brendan

If Kris Boyd can call the Head of Referees then surely the Celtic manager is entitled to an explanation as to why Celtic were not awarded a penalty when Daizen Maeda was pushed from behind.
