Video: Insigne arrives to complete Sampdoria move – contract details revealed

Lorenzo Insigne is back in Italy and is set to sign for Sampdoria in Serie B on a one-year contract with a potential option to extend.

Insigne was filmed arriving at the airport in Milan late on Tuesday evening and is reportedly having his medical tests with Sampdoria in Genoa on Wednesday.

The 35-year-old former Napoli and Italy star is available on a free transfer following his brief spell with Pescara in the second half of the 2025-26 season.

According to Wednesday’s reports, he is set to sign a one-year contract with Samp on a salary of around €500,000. He will also have an option to extend in the event that he features for 50% of the team’s matches in 2026-27, or if Sampdoria achieve promotion to Serie A by the end of the season.
