Chelsea are closing in on a win at Wembley against Leeds, and they have their goalkeeper to thank for it.

We’re into the final minutes of this FA Cup semi final at Wembley, and Chelsea are clinging on to their narrow lead.

The Blues have been in control for most of the second half without threatening much, and it’s been Leeds with the better chances in the second period.

The best opportunity for the Yorkshire side was just after the break, when a dangerous Ethan Ampadu pass was cleared to the edge of the box, where an onrushing Joe Rodon was able to catch it sweetly. He hammered it right at goal, and Robert Sanchez had to be really strong to stop it going past him.

We all know Sanchez’s strengths and weaknesses – today he’s been able to play to the former. He’s kicked it long when necessary, and has made a number of good stops to keep his team ahead.

If we go through, it will be in large part down to him.
