In January 2013, Liverpool dispatched Norwich City 5-0 in the Premier League as Brendan Rodgers’ side achieved something Jurgen Klopp will be hoping for against Burnley.
The Reds host Burnley in the Premier League on Thursday night and a big win for Liverpool could give them a lift as they look to close the gap at the top of the table. Leicester are currently four points clear of Liverpool, having played one more game, but Manchester United and Manchester City could extend that gap if they win their games in-hand.
In the game against Norwich, Steven Gerrard, Jordan Henderson, Luis Suarez, Daniel Sturridge and an own-goal from Norwich defender Ryan Bennett sealed the three points for Liverpool. Henderson could be hoping to be on the winning side again in January for Liverpool against Burnley.
Liverpool’s official Twitter account shared a throwback to the highlights of the game, showcasing the five goals scored against the Canaries.
