Vila Nova announce signing of Lincoln, ex-Flamengo forward | OneFootball

Vila Nova have announced the signing of former Flamengo forward Lincoln on a deal running until December, following his departure from Spartak Subotica.

The club said in a statement that the 25-year-old arrives to strengthen the attack to the end of the season, noting his titles with Flamengo and youth caps for Brazil. It also highlighted his experience in Japan with Vissel Kobe, further spells in Europe, and time at Cruzeiro.

Brazil’s second transfer window closed on 11 September. Lincoln was able to rescind his Spartak Subotica contract due to salary delays, then, with FIFA and CBF approval, sign for the Goiás club.

He joined Spartak Subotica in September 2025 after terminating his deal with Athletic-MG, signing through to the end of 2028. In Serbia he made 16 appearances, scoring four goals with one assist.

A Flamengo academy graduate, Lincoln moved into the first team in early 2018 and left three years later for Vissel Kobe for around R$ 15 million. For Flamengo he played 63 times, delivering eight goals and five assists, and won the Copa Libertadores, two Brasileiros, the Supercopa do Brasil, the Recopa Sul-Americana and two Cariocas.

He is also remembered for missing a clear chance in the 2019 Club World Cup final against Liverpool, at 14 minutes of the first half of extra time, when the English side already led 1-0 through Roberto Firmino.
