Wolves are being linked with Hibernian midfielder Josh Mulligan and Aston Villa with Newcastle striker Nick Woltemade in the latest transfer speculation.
TeamTALK claims Wolves are set to challenge Southampton and West Ham United for Mulligan. The 23-year-old registered three goals and five assists in 33 outings for Hibernian last season.
Wolves are said to have made initial enquiries, alongside West Ham. Hibernian are viewed as in a strong position as Mulligan has three years remaining on his contract.
AS reports Villa are interested in signing Woltemade and could meet Newcastle's asking price, around £56.4 million. The striker is understood to have other admirers.
Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund are monitoring his situation after a difficult first Premier League campaign. The German international, currently at the World Cup, cost Newcastle £69 million from VfB Stuttgart last summer and delivered eight goals and three assists in 33 league appearances.
