Villarreal fell to Ajax, but Oluwaseyi stood out, putting his side 1-0 up with a superb finish.
According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, he led the ratings with eight. Arnau Tenas was marked down to five, his tidy use of the ball and a fine first-half save overshadowed by a mistake for the equaliser. Comesaña had an all-action display but headed into his own net, rated six.
Rafa Marín earned six, strong in duels and supplying the long pass for 1-0, but he also produced a glaring error at the back. Mouriño struggled, Renato Veiga was steady, and Sergi Cardona offered threat going forward but suffered in transition.
Thomas Partey delivered a tidy, team-first performance yet still looked short of rhythm, rated six. Moleiro impressed in a lively first half, worth seven before his withdrawal.
Nico Pepe was sharp and direct, fashioned three clear chances but could not find the net, and took a seven. Ayoze linked play well but managed only one effort, graded six. From the bench, Buchanan’s pace and penetration brought a seven, Gerard was incisive on six, and Mikautadze looked dangerous on seven.
