Villarreal visit Porcelanosa showcase as club deepen ties with Estadio de la Cerámica sponsor | OneFootball

Villarreal visited Porcelanosa’s 32nd International Showcase at Gamadecor, underlining the long-standing partnership with a key Estadio de la Cerámica sponsor. According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, the club sent a delegation including executives, the head coach and first-team players.

CEO Fernando Roig Negueroles, head coach Marcelino García Toral, and players Pape Gueye, Nicolas Pepe and Rafa Marín attended. They were welcomed by Porcelanosa Grupo marketing director Cristina Colonques and general director Manuel Rubert.

Porcelanosa, the Spanish multinational, is one of the main backers of the stadium and a historic club partner. The XXXII Muestra Internacional de Arquitectura Global y Diseño Interior runs from 23 February to Friday 6 March, with the group showcasing innovations across seven brands to clients, specifiers and industry professionals.

The Agrupació de Penyes del Villarreal CF has launched a food collection for the next two home games, against Elche on Sunday 8 March at 14.00 and against Real Sociedad on Friday 20 at 21.00. Donations sought include non-perishable food, medical supplies, hygiene products and school materials, with drop-off points at the La Cerámica Fan Zone and the APV headquarters.

On the pitch, Villarreal accept they must tighten up defensively. They have gone from conceding 0.8 goals per game in the first half of the 25/26 campaign to two per game at the start of the second. That is 14 shipped in seven Liga matches, only three fewer than the 17 conceded across 19 in the first half.

Elche goalkeeper Matías Dituro said his side will go toe to toe with Villarreal despite their poor run, adding that their approach will bring them closer to a win. He noted that head coach Eder Sarabia has already provided many tools to counter the Submarino.
