Nottingham Forest announced on Sunday that Vítor Pereira has been appointed head coach, with the Premier League club 17th on 27 points and at risk of relegation.
The Portuguese becomes the fourth manager to take charge this season, following Ange Postecoglou, Nuno Espírito Santo and Sean Dyche, who struggled for results.
Pereira had been out of work since leaving Wolves in November 2025. His contract at Forest is for 18 months.
His debut is set for the Europa League play-offs on Thursday 19, against Fenerbahçe of Türkiye.
He previously led Flamengo after joining in January 2023 from a positive spell at Corinthians. He left in April that year with 10 wins from 20 matches and no titles.
Flamengo, now under Filipe Luís, face Botafogo on Sunday 15 at 17:30 Brasília time at Estádio Nilton Santos in the Carioca quarter-finals.
