Montilivi was today also the stage for the official presentation of Vladislav Vanat as a new player of Girona FC. The Ukrainian forward, excited about this new chapter, explained that his decision to come to Montilivi was immediate: "Girona's project was something I was very excited about, and I am very happy to be here. The moment I received the offer, I didn’t hesitate," he assured.

The young forward has already had the opportunity to debut and score his first goal wearing the red-and-white jersey, a moment he described as special: "Scoring a goal on debut day was very emotional, but I don’t set a specific goal target. That said, I will try to score as many as possible. What I want is to help the team in every way I can."

Vanat highlighted that his adaptation to the locker room and the style of play has been very positive: "I have adapted well to the team, but if you ask me which attacking position I like to play the most, I would say my favorite is as a center forward."

The Ukrainian explained that he received good references about the club from Artem Dovbyk, with whom he has shared time during Ukrainian national team camps: "I spoke with Dovbyk when we were together in the national team, and he recommended coming to Girona because it’s a good place to grow."

Looking ahead to the season, Vanat appears ready for the challenge: "It will be a long season, but that’s what we train for. I would be thrilled to play in the World Cup with my country’s national team."

Finally, he wanted to highlight the role of the other Ukrainian players on the team, who are helping him in the adaptation process: "Having other Ukrainians on the team helps me a lot; we go out to eat together, and they make my adaptation easier."

With Vanat’s addition, Girona strengthens its attack with a player full of talent, ambition, and a desire to grow within a project that continues to establish itself in the top tier.
