FC Nantes president Waldemar Kita has received three proposals to buy the club he has owned since 2007.

According to L'Équipe, he is more open than ever to a sale. None of the offers is linked to multi-club ownership, with one from a Middle Eastern investor, another from an American investment fund, and a third from a pool of French investors.

The approaches are not thought to involve the Collectif nantais, the project fronted by Mickaël Landreau that drew in local entrepreneurs, former club figures, supporters and elected officials between 2021 and 2025.

That collective raised €9m, at a time when Kita was relatively open to allowing a sponsors’ representative onto the Nantes board.

Its plan then shifted towards a full takeover of the club.

The group went dormant after an €80m proposal in December 2023 was not accepted, although Kita maintained he had never received such an offer.
