Walter Sabatini thinks Juventus is on the right track under Spalletti | OneFootball

Juventus have made an inconsistent start to this season, which has certainly affected the confidence of some of their fans. However, the men in black and white have done their best to remain close to the top of the league standings so far.

They remain one of the teams expected to challenge for the league title, but judging by his reputation and how his tenure started, much more was expected from Luciano Spalletti this season.

Juventus did not get all the players Spalletti wanted, but the club still expected much more than it is getting at the moment. They will also want the team to keep winning after the international break.

Some fans expected Juventus to be top of the standings at this stage, but Walter Sabatini is not worried. He understands how Spalletti’s teams tend to start before eventually achieving success and has no doubt that Juventus are on the right track.

Sabatini Defends Spalletti’s Start

Sabatini believes Juventus’ current difficulties can be explained by the players they have lost and the need for some changes within the squad.

He also believes that the team may need to reinstate a maximum of two players, presumably midfielders, but does not think there is a need for Juventus to make further changes.

His assessment provides encouragement for Spalletti and the Bianconeri as they look to improve their performances after the break.

Juventus Expected to Improve

Sabatini said via Tuttomercatoweb:

“The difficulties stem from the fact that they’ve lost key players and the fact that the team perhaps needs a bit of a shakeup, reinstating a maximum of two players, presumably midfielders. But there’s no point in going any further. I think Juve’s path is completely normal. Spalletti’s teams all take off, but they need a long run on the runway, but it seems to me that the team has already left the runway and is ready to reach cruising altitude and find its deep, creative, and productive football.”

Sabatini therefore sees Juventus’ current position as part of a normal process under Spalletti. He believes the team has already moved beyond the initial stage and is ready to develop further.

The Bianconeri will hope that assessment proves accurate as they continue their campaign. With the club still expected to challenge for the league title, Spalletti will be looking for greater consistency and more victories after the international break.
