According to L'Équipe, Warren Zaïre-Emery sought a meeting with Didier Deschamps during the 2026 World Cup to discuss his playing time, hoping to avoid a repeat of Euro 2024 when he did not feature.
Usually reserved, the PSG midfielder asked what he needed to do to play more and to make clear a degree of frustration.
