Barcelona have released a new video showcasing the progress of the Spotify Camp Nou renovation, giving fans a closer look at the iconic stadium as it prepares for its reopening.

The club is edging closer to returning to its home ground, with the first possible match for the men’s first team expected in November, either against Elche on the 2nd or hosting Athletic Club on the weekend of 22-23.

Meanwhile, in the new video, Barcelona take viewers on a virtual tour of the stadium, captured via drone.

The footage begins with a glimpse of the underground car park and moves through the stadium’s architectural interiors.

Fans can see the tunnel leading to the changing rooms, the pitch, the newly installed seats, and both team benches.

What’s the latest with Spotify Camp Nou?

Currently, the first two tiers of the stadium are finished, although certain areas remain provisional, including the press area and the lighting system.

Work has already started on the third tier, which is part of the second phase of the renovation.

Between the second and third tiers lies the new VIP box ring, one of the major upgrades of the modernised stadium.

Once the third tier is completed, the stadium capacity will increase to 105,000 spectators, making it one of the largest football venues in the world.

However, the club anticipates that this phase may extend into the summer of 2027 to allow for the roof to be fully lifted.

Barcelona are currently awaiting the First Occupancy 1B license from the Barcelona City Council.

This licence would allow the club to host events with up to 45,000 spectators, spread across the Gol Sud, Tribuna, and Lateral sections.

In the meantime, the next two home fixtures for the men’s team have been scheduled at the Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium in Montjuïc: against Girona on Saturday, October 18, and Olympiakos on Tuesday, October 21.
