Barcelona created a special moment for fans even before kickoff against Rayo Vallecano, delivering a nostalgic surprise that instantly captured attention at the Spotify Camp Nou.

As part of their usual pre-match routine, the players stepped onto the pitch to inspect the conditions and warm up.

However, this time, there was something different, something that immediately stood out to everyone in the stadium.

The squad appeared wearing a retro jersey inspired by club legend Ronaldinho, bringing back memories of one of the most iconic eras in Barcelona’s history.

What’s the occasion?

This gesture was part of a wider initiative from the club. Barcelona are preparing to release this jersey as a vintage edition, tapping into the emotional connection fans have with Ronaldinho’s time at the club.

The design closely mirrors the original kit, complete with long sleeves, classic detailing, and the number 10 with Ronaldinho’s name on the back.

The idea behind the release is to combine nostalgia with modern demand. The shirt will be made available both in official Barça stores and online, giving supporters the option to purchase it either with Ronaldinho’s name or in a more neutral version.

Beyond the marketing aspect, the moment shows just how much time has passed since Ronaldinho first arrived in Barcelona

The Brazilian signed for the club back in 2003, marking the beginning of a transformative period that laid the foundation for future success.

Interestingly, that timeline puts things into perspective when compared to the current squad.

Several of today’s Barcelona players, including Gavi, Lamine Yamal, and Pau Cubarsi, had not even been born when Ronaldinho first wore the famous Blaugrana shirt.

On top of that, it must be remembered that yesterday, on March 21, Ronaldinho celebrated his 46th birthday, which makes this gesture even more special.
