Manchester United have fought back after going 1-0 down against Ipswich Town in the Premier League today. 

Leif Davis put the away side ahead midway through the first half, but Manchester United bounced back through Bruno Fernandes. Earlier in the second half, Jacob Greaves handed Manchester United the lead after scoring an own goal.

The Red Devils have now been awarded a penalty kick after Matheus Cunha was brought down by Greaves. Bruno Fernandes sent Kjell Scherpen the wrong way to put Manchester United 3-1 up.

The Manchester United captain has scored again in quick succession to put his team 4-1 up, and Ipswich now have a mountain to climb. Fernandes has now completed his hat trick, and Manchester United fans will be delighted with the way their team has responded in the second half.

Fernandes has now scored his second Premier League hat-trick – with the first coming in Manchester United’s first home game of a Premier League season against Leeds five years ago.

After the defeat to Hull City in the opening game of the season, Manchester United needed a comprehensive win to lift the spirits around the club, and the performance against Ipswich has been outstanding so far in the second half.
