In a moment of madness, former Inter, Roma and current Fenerbahce head coach Jose Mourinho decided to try and pinch the nose of his Galatasaray counterpart Okan Buruk at full-time of the Turkish Cup match between the two sides on Wednesday evening.
A Victor Osimhen-led Galatasaray inflicted a 2-1 defeat upon their fierce cross-city rivals despite a first-half injury-time striker from Fener’s Sebastian Szymanski.
As is typical in the Intercontinental derby, there was plenty of tension among the supporters, players and staff before, during and after the game. Three players were sent off at full-time: Mert Hakan Yandas, Kerim Deimbray and Baris Yilmaz.
Amidst the madness at full-time, Mourinho approached Galatasaray head coach Buruk and tried to pinch him on the nose.
Buruk did not find the funny side, and in an attempt to get his rival punished, fell to the floor clutching his face while the craziness continued to unfold around him.
