FC Bayern wants to sign Leonard Prescott for the long term – but top international clubs are already positioning themselves
At FC Bayern, plans for the future are progressing at all levels – including in the youth sector. The focus is currently on talented goalkeeper Leonard Prescott. The 16-year-old is regarded as one of the most exciting goalkeeping talents on campus and is to be tied to the club for the long term
As reported by Sky, those responsible want to extend the youngster’s contract beyond 2027 as soon as possible – a clear signal: Munich believe Prescott can make the leap to the highest level and see him as an important building block for the future
But Bayern are under pressure to make a move, as Prescott’s development has not gone unnoticed internationally. Two European heavyweights, Chelsea FC and Juventus, have already expressed concrete interest in signing the young goalkeeper
Clubs from the Premier League and Serie A in particular are known for their early interest in top talents – and the pressure on FC Bayern to act quickly is growing accordingly
Despite the competition, there is currently a strong argument for Prescott to remain in Munich, and he has a clear goal in mind: he wants to establish himself as the number one at a top club in the long term – preferably at FC Bayern

Munich have been working on a clear structure for the future in goal for some time now. While Manuel Neuer could possibly remain as number one for another season, Jonas Urbig is being developed as a potential successor
In the background, Prescott is to be brought up in perspective, with the campus playing a central role – and it is precisely here that Bayern see their chance to develop the talent step by step
However, one thing is clear: in order to keep Prescott in the long term, those responsible must act quickly. The interest from abroad is concrete – and could increase the pressure further in the coming months.
