Footage of two leading members of the summer recruitment drive at La Liga giants Real Madrid locking horns in training has come to the fore online.

The Blancos pair at the heart of the clip in question? Marc Cucurella, and Yan Diomandé.

Both defender Cucurella and attacker Diomandé are fresh off linking up with their new teammates in Spain’s capital over the course of the last week.

Signed in respective big-money deals from Chelsea and RB Leipzig, the duo will be expected to play a leading role in the XI of new head coach José Mourinho over the course of the season ahead.

At Valdebebas on Tuesday, Cucurella and Diomandé, in turn, were pitted against one another during a training drill between ranks.

The former showcased his trademark ‘make your move’ defending style to his young teammate, but Diomandé remained cool and composed, ultimately picking out the bottom corner of the net in style.
