Watford have completed the signing of winger Karin Muya on a permanent deal.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Golden Girls this evening.

The 31-year-old joins Watford on a free transfer after leaving former club Charlton Athletic earlier this summer. Muya spent three years at The Valley after joining Charlton Athletic from London City Lionesses in 2023.

Muya enjoyed a successful season for Charlton Athletic in 2026/2027. She featured in every league fixture for the South East Londoners, scoring two goals. Muya also helped Charlton Athletic to seal a long-awaited promotion to the Barclays Women’s Super League.

Muya spent her early years with Chelsea before going on to feature for ASD Orobica Calcio Bergamo and San Marino Academy. She then worked under highly-rated coach Melissa Phillips at London City Lionesses before making the move to Charlton Athletic.

The winger boasts pace, power and trickery and she is sure to be a hit with latest club Watford.

Muya is Watford’s seventh signing of the summer transfer window. The Golden Girls have invested well in their playing squad over the summer and they could find the transition to Barclays WSL2 football easier this time around.
