Watford have been urged to keep Imran Louza at Vicarage Road despite transfer links overseas with some European window's still open.

The Moroccan internation has earned 14 caps for his country, and continues to play a key role for the Hornets, which has been so prevalent since his arrival, as he has made 100 appearances for the club, being loved by the fans for his steely performances and die-hard nature for the badge.

Over the course of his time in Hertfordshire, Louza has scored eight goals and provided 14 assists. However, his days made be numbered to add to his Watford tally.

The 26-year-old midfielder reportedly handed in a transfer request earlier this summer, looking to move on to pastures new, despite having a contract valid until 2028.

The Moroccan has attracted heavy interest overseas in the way of Lokomotiv Moscow in Russia, and with some European transfer windows still open, where his future lies is still to be determined. Louza, who is held in high regard by all involved at Watford, has certainly earned the title of being a fan-favourite at the club due to his consistent high performance levels.

Football League World's Watford fan pundit, Justin Beattie, believes that his story with the Hornets isn't over just yet and would give the club a massive boost if they were to keep him around.

Justin said, "I think most Watford fans would be keen to make sure that Imran Louza goes nowhere whilst all of these European transfer windows are still open."

"Obviously, he was our Player of the Year last season. He's already made some decent contributions in the matches that he's played in, so I think it's important to keep Imran [Louza] and not let him go."

With the 26-year-old's future being up in the air for quite some time now, there is an air of uncertainty around what Watford's midfield would look like without his services as the season kicks into full flow, post the international break.

Attraction from clubs overseas has got Hornets fans worried as he's considered to be a vital player to Paulo Pezzolano's side, if they are to improve upon last season.

Justin said, "I think the link with Lokomotiv Moscow is obviously a concern whilst the window remains open, but fingers crossed he doesn't go anywhere because I think he's going to be a pivotal player for us this season."

As reported by French publication L'Equipe, the Russian side offered Watford a deal in the region of €6m/approx £5.2m for the midfielder, in order to win over his signature. However, with Watford fans sharing the common view that Louza is their most important player in the midfield third, fans are reluctant to see the back of him.
