Monaco’s revival in 2026 has gathered real pace, they are unbeaten in their last eight Ligue 1 matches and last weekend’s 2-0 win over Stade Brestois made it five league victories in a row.

The surge has lifted Les Monégasques into sixth and back in European contention. According to Get French Football News, Wout Faes, on loan from Leicester City, said, “We want to climb up the table, that is clear. We haven’t set ourselves an objective, but we are looking at ourselves first and foremost.”

In a press conference, Sébastien Pocognoli said, “We are coming from a long way back. If we continue our run, we can be ambitious, but our recent past allows us to keep our feet on the ground.”

Next up is a trip to Olympique Lyonnais, then a meeting with Olympique de Marseille after the international break.

The momentum follows a difficult first half of the season, when the Principality club were stuck in mid-table.
