The four main RC Strasbourg fan groups have announced on Thursday an indefinite strike in protest against the BlueCo-owned Ligue 1 club’s policy towards the more vocal critics of the American consortium. In a rare public statement, BlueCo has broken its silence regarding the widening gap between the club’s executives – most notably club president Marc Keller – and the team’s fans.

First and foremost, BlueCo has reiterated its unwavering support for Keller, who was the club’s owner before the consortium’s takeover in 2023. “His leadership and commitment over the years have helped lead this club to where it is today. The relationship we have with him, as well as with the entire team of management and staff, is a true partnership based on shared trust and ambition.

The Chelsea FC owners have also hinted that their ownership was for the long term. “Our commitment to Racing, its ecosystem and its community is unwavering and forever. Our belief in this project is immutable and permanent.” BlueCo has also added that, despite the fans’ protests, that they will continue to operate to make sure the Ligue 1 club remains a source of pride for the people of Strasbourg. “We won’t take your support for granted (…) To those whose doubts persist, the club will always be happy to receive your support. The players need this support at every moment, because we are all behind the same club and all hoping for the same results.”
