‘We’re growing as individuals and as a team’ – Scott Parker on Burnley’s good form | OneFootball

Scott Parker says he can see his Burnley squad growing collectively, following their excellent recent form.

They have won two of their last three games in the Premier League, against Leeds and Wolves. They currently sit 17th in the Premier League and are three points ahead of West Ham who are 18th.

Speaking about the good form, Parker said: “We’re growing every game. This team continues to grow in confidence, performance after performance, week after week. There have been positives to take in every game we’ve played this season.

“We’re growing as individuals and as a team – there’s a collective growth, on and off the pitch. That growth is being acknowledged by our fans, who have backed us every step of the way.”

Parker’s side take on West Ham this weekend in a huge game. If Burnley win, they will open up a six point gap between themselves and the Hammers.

On the game, Parker said: “It’s another big game. Of course there’s a magnitude about it, given there’s a small gap between the two sides in the table, but it’s not something we’ve focused on this week.

“Our only focus is on what we need to do to win the game, like it is every week. We’ll head there with plenty of confidence after our start to the season – and how we’ve fared in these kind of games so far.”
