Rosenior replaced Enzo Maresca in January, and signed a six and a half year contract, which is understood to have a break clause in it.

The 41-year-old got off to a good start, but the honeymoon period is very much over with the Blues really struggling at the moment.

Emmanuel Petit criticises Liam Rosenior

Rosenior has come under increased pressure following a run of four defeats in a row in all competitions, and the Blues have also failed to score in their last three games.

It’s not just the defeat, but the manner of them and Matt Law has claimed the players don’t believe in Rosenior’s tactics.

Chelsea sit outside the Champions League places with seven games remaining, but the club still appear to be backing Rosenior.

Many supporters feel he should be sacked and when asked about Rosenior, Petit admitted he had no idea if he’d be in charge next season.

“I have no idea if he’s going to stay at the end of the season, but to be honest with you, something has to change,” he said as quoted by London Football News.

“I think the dimension of Strasbourg fit perfectly with Rosenior. Giving him the responsibility of such a huge club like Chelsea is a huge step.

Petit also hit out at Rosenior for his behaviour on the touchline including writing things down, and passing notes to players.

“The way he’s acting, his body language on the bench, the way he’s always trying to write things down on the paper then giving it to his players… I mean, come on,” he added.

“We’re not stupid, we’re not kids.”
