Former Blue Jason Cundy has made a claim about Reece James following his impressive performance in Chelsea’s draw with Arsenal.
In a game where three £100m midfielders were on the pitch it was James who was the standout out player in the middle of the park and on the pitch in general.
The Chelsea captain was superb, with his task made even harder thanks to Moises Caicedo getting sent off towards the end of the first half.
Enzo Maresca deserves enormous credit for the way he’s managed James since he returned from his last injury, and the 25-year-old has now been injury free for over a year.
Maresca has even confirmed James can play three games a week if required, which a few seasons ago is something many Chelsea fans would have found hard to believe.

James was superb against Arsenal.
James is certainly back to his best, and Cundy believes the England international is now starting to trust his body again.
“I think there also might be a little bit of him now trusting his body because when you have injuries, and I’ve had plenty throughout my career, it takes time just to trust your body again,” he told talkSPORT.
“I think we’re now looking at Reece, mentally, he is completely free of any fear of the body collapsing.”
Having gone unbeaten in November, Chelsea kick off a busy December with a tough trip to Leeds on Wednesday night, a game James is unlikely to start.

It will be a difficult game, and John Terry has warned Chelsea to expect a hostile atmosphere, but the Blues should have the required quality to get the three points, and keep in touch with Arsenal and Manchester City at the top of the table.
