West Bromwich Albion have begun installing a new public address system at The Hawthorns, with completion targeted for the start of the new season after years of fan complaints about audibility.
The Albion Assembly minutes stated that director of operations Chris Harris confirmed work is under way, the provider has been excellent to date, progress is beyond halfway and there is confidence it will be ready for the new campaign.
The fan group met at the stadium last week, where executive director Mark Miles, director of events and experience Tomasz Chadwick, and Harris updated members.
Chadwick outlined wider matchday priorities including half-time queues, concourse food, in-stadium Wi-Fi, atmosphere, events and concerts, player visits to hospitality suites and roadside digital screens. He has recently moved into his new role from head of commercial.
The club also plan to appoint a dedicated fan experience manager ahead of the 2026/27 campaign. They are exploring matchday Hawthorns helpers, improved concourse catering and technology such as self-pour and self-ordering to ease queues.
