The Baggies finished fifth in the Championship at the end of the 2023/24 campaign, despite operating on a tight budget that Corberan said he used as motivation before the season.

West Brom will be looking to build on last season's top-six finish next season and with Corberan in the dugout, they will feel more than capable of mounting another promotion push.

There have been plenty of rumours surrounding the club recently, so let's take a look at the latest transfer updates.

West Brom are set to make their first signing of the summer.

Norwegian defender Torbjorn Heggem is closing in on a move to the Hawthorns from Swedish side IF Brommapojkarna, according to The Athletic. The 25-year-old left-back, who can also operate in the centre of defence, is set to have his medical ahead of signing for the club.

The Baggies will hope that Heggem can slot into a defence that let in just 47 goals in the Championship last season - only Leicester City and Leeds United conceded fewer.

Celtic winger Mikey Johnston spent the second half of last season on loan at The Hawthorns, scoring seven goals as he helped secure a play-off place.

West Brom continued interest in signing the 25-year-old again this summer has been highlighted by a report by the Scottish Sun.

The Baggies will no doubt face competition for Johnston if he is made available but they will hope his success last season will be enough to convince him that making a return is the best option.

Sheffield Wednesday winger Josh Windass is set to leave Hillsborough on a free transfer this summer.

West Brom are interested in bringing in the 30-year-old, according to Birmingham World.

The Baggies will reportedly face competition from Birmingham City for Windass' signature but are said to have made contact to sound out a move to The Hawthorns.

West Brom defender Cedric Kipre is attracting interest from a host of clubs in England and abroad.

Newly promoted Premier League side Ipswich Town, as well as clubs in France and Germany, are interested in signing the 27-year-old, according to Express & Star.

Kipre has been offered a new contract by West Brom but it looks likely that the centre-back will move on this summer.

The signing of Heggem could provide some cover if Kipre departs, while the Baggies have also been linked with Moussa Diarra, who recently departed French club Toulouse.

Turkish club Trabzonspor are interested in signing Okay Yokuslu from West Brom, according to Express & Star.

The midfielder made 44 appearances in the Championship last season.

If Yokuslu is sold, West Brom will hope that they can command a reasonable transfer fee for his services with one year remaining on his contract.

The 30-year-old is part of Turkey's squad at Euro 2024 in Germany, so any final decision on his future is likely to be made after his country's run at the tournament is over.
