Football League World looks at how to tune into Tuesday evening's EFL Championship showdown between West Bromwich Albion and Charlton Athletic

A huge encounter in this season's Championship relegation battle awaits on Tuesday evening, where West Bromwich Albion and Charlton Athletic will lock horns in a potential six-pointer at the Hawthorns.

West Brom are finding themselves at an ever-intensifying risk of suffering a shock relegation out of the Championship and into League One under unpopular head coach Eric Ramsay, who succeeded Ryan Mason last month and has endured a disastrous start to life in the Black Country by failing to win any of his opening eight matches in charge.

Unsurprisingly, of course, pressure on Ramsay's position and future is starting to grow as Albion continue to fall further into relegation trouble, with the Baggies' frustrations having been compounded by a 2-0 home defeat to league leaders Coventry City yesterday afternoon to keep them just one point above 22nd-placed Leicester City in 21st.

The upcoming clash against Charlton represents a must-win affair for both Ramsay and the Baggies as they continue to search for a much-needed reprieve in their battle against the drop, while the Addicks' fortunes have been boosted considerably in recent times.

Jones' side have lost just one of their last five encounters, taking points from the likes of Leicester, QPR, Stoke City and most recently Southampton in yesterday's 1-1 draw on the south coast to propel away from the drop zone.

Charlton's campaign is not over yet, it must be stressed, although the South London outfit are six points clear of the Baggies ahead of their trip to the Midlands and are beginning to fancy their chances of survival following promotion through the third-tier play-offs last time out.

It's a huge encounter for both sides in the lower echelons of the Championship table, and as Ramsay and Jones bid to prepare their respective camps for the task at hand, Football League World has taken a close look at everything you need to know regarding TV scheduling and more...

How to watch West Brom v Charlton Athletic on TV

The match will take place this coming Tuesday evening at 19:45PM (BST) in one of the last midweek matchweeks of the 2025/26 ssecond-tier campaign.

As is the norm with midweek affairs in the EFL, this fixture will be available to stream on Sky Sports +, which will be showcasing a variety of Championship encounters on Tuesday and Wednesday evening.

Sky Sports can be added to any Sky TV package at a price of £20 per month, with Sky Sports + broadcasting more than 1,000 EFL games throughout the campaign.

Customers receive access to live stream the encounter through the Sky Go application, which is compatible with a number of devices including the majority of smartphones and tablets. Alternatively, the game can be streamed via NOWTV, which gives customers the option of purchasing a day membership at £14.99 or a monthly membership for £34.99.

Meanwhile, audio passes are available to purchase on the websites of both clubs.

Charlton Athletic may fancy their chances of big West Brom win

It's hard to call the favourites for this clash, as Charlton have hardly enjoyed productive away form in the Championship this season by winning just three of their 17 trips on the road to date.

They have, however, taken four points from two away fixtures at Southampton and Leicester in recent times, which, coupled with the Baggies' disappointing home form by claiming only six victories at the Hawthorns in 25/26, may well provide some serious encouragement to Jones' survival-chasing side.

A draw would still be of benefit to Charlton, and it's West Brom who really need to win this game as they bid to dodge the drop in the final stages of the season.

However, Charlton's momentum from a recent upturn in form hands them a crucial advantage, and it perhaps wouldn't be too great a surprise to see them deal a fresh blow to the Baggies' miserable campaign.
